Distance education vs information society: an epistemological reflection
Abstract
¿Distance education, new paradigma? Many experts think about distance education as a technological revolution until the point to be described as a new educational paradigm; some others think that this kind of education does not involve a fundamental change. From psychology of education perspectives it may not be appreciated a real change in the teaching and learning paradigm with technological support. Even the vital contribution of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to distance education, it is said that it is not crucial to consider that this education interpreted from a technological point of view and under its own criteria, requires specific treatment from a epistemological point of view.
