The Journal Academia y Virtualidad is a Spanish-language publication, but it will take title,abstract and keywords in English and Portuguese.

His Editionis semi annual,published articles are results of un published scholarly works, mainly products of researchrelated to education issues at a distance and those allied with the academic programs of higher education whic his responsible for the Faedis.


The Editorial Committee is the body that decides


About the acceptance of the marticles postulated,based in the political and criteria established,and the concepts of evaluation.The editor selects and classifies articles which comply with the requirements and assigned the peer reviewers.


Receives the concept and takes the decision of acceptit, rejectit or sendit to the author to take in has them remarks of the evaluator.


In those cases in that median observations of the evaluator, the Committe estudies the irrelevance and takes the decision. In any case, the Committee reserves the right to acceptor reject articles.

The acceptance of the article for publication, implies the transfer of the rights ofr eproduction and dissemination by any means to the Universidad Militar Nueva Granada-Facultad de Estudios a Distancia, as editor of the journal.

Process of evaluation by peers


Journaul Academia y Virtualidad is interested in publishing scientific articles in the form of research, review and reflection;related with the field of it education and the mode of education to distance, and all them theme sdisciplinary that have that see with the interests of them programs of training that promotes the faculty.


Is condition necessary for the postulates of articles that these are unpublished, and is responsibility of the author (is) the content of the same.


All document submitted will be refereed by experts, upon acceptance of the Editorial Committee. The peer evaluators will be assigned by the Editor of  the Journal.

The manuscript should be presented with a letter to the editor of the journal, stating the names of the author (s),document of identity, type ofi tem and title; brief academic profile will outline where titles and
institutional linkage, the (s)respective (s)signature (s)and sent to the email address:

The Journal was founded in 2008 as an annual publication, until November 2012 reach its category C in Publindex.


Starting from the 2013 starts as a publication half-yearly. The focus of the journal is multidisciplinary. In the months of January and July each year.

Academia y Virtualidad Journal was founded in the year 2008. Start with an annual volume, until the year 2012, as of this date by policies of the Faculty is handled magazine now every six months.




Promote and spread to the community academic Colombian and, in particular, to others communities in general, interested in know developments in research, practices, experiences concerning to the work pedagogical and it education top, low it methodology of education to distance, mediated by environments virtual and them technologies of the information and the communication (ICT).




The digital journal Academia y Virtualidad, aims to become a significant medium in disseminating specialized knowledge, contribute to the construction of society of the information and, thus, projected medium-term - in a period not exceeding five years - as a journal indexed and referenced in a digital journals in education platform.
