Implementation of a biotechnological process: worm culture as treatment of solid organic waste
Abstract
This project assessed the humus generated for a system treating of organic solid waste. The development of this objective was designed as biaoreactor for the breeding the species Eisenia Phoetida (commonly known as California red worm), and it was prepared a farming and it was determined the capacity of transformation of the system, on this respect the degradation of organic matter, through the characterization of two points: a sample of untreated soil an others sample from the substrate of the bioreactor, after a period of time. According to parameters Total Nitrogen, Total Phosphorus and Potassium a necesary conclusion is that, the highest values in the three parameters, showed that the substrate with implemented species generated benefits on the production of humus.
