Integration process: city-region in Bogotá and its surrounds

Abstract

The concept of City-Region obeys the changes that many countries have presented in social and economic levels in different countries, those changes have required interdisciplinary in the social-scientist analysis, in an effort to recognize that the space of economic geography goes beyond the artificial limits of the electoral circumscription and the present and future social responsibility in a maintained and sustainable development frame. Whatever it happens to any of the components of the system will affect the others and the supposedly independent decisions. Relationships between the city and its surroundings are varied, but it is important to consider how the "City-Region" model appears in Bogota and Cundinamarca, surrounding the political decisions with high social impact in human development.
