Liderança e desempenho organizacional em pequenas e médias empresas no Chile
Resumo
Este estudo analisou a relação entre os estilos de liderança e o desempenho organizacional em pequenas e médias empresas (PMEs) de uma economia emergente. Para isso, foram entrevistados 119 administradores de empresas do setor comercial do Chile (região de Coquimbo). Os dados foram analisados com a técnica de equações estruturais e análise de regressão linear múltipla. Os resultados revelaram que apenas o estilo de liderança transformacional acaba sendo mais
significativo para o desempenho organizacional. Em particular, encontrou se uma relação positiva entre liderança transformacional e resultados financeiros, estratégicos e de satisfação. Revelou-se, também, que todas as dimensões de desempenho estão relacionadas direta e significativamente
entre si. Conclui-se que o exercício de liderança que promova soluções criativas e participativas para problemas, baseada no reconhecimento das necessidades pessoais, capacidades e aspirações dos
colaboradores, influencia positivamente o desempenho organizacional.
