Descriptive Analysis of the Results of the Evaluation ECAES Students In Economics (2004-2006)
Abstract
In this document, we evaluated the obtained results in the ECAES exam in Economics for the 2004-2006 period; we analyzed students, institutional and geographic descriptive measures, along with the estimation of the factors that affected the average total score of the institutions represen- ted in the sample. A critic to the qualification method used is that it doesn’t allow result comparisons for different moments of time because the results are annually standardized. By means of an Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA), we found that the quantity of students evaluated, if it is a daytime program and if the institution is accredited have positive effects on the score by institution.
