Elements for Discussion About Internationalization of Colombian Higher Education

Abstract

The document provides elements of analysis of higher education, considering as discussion points the role of globalization, country development and construction of the public. Therefore, the practices of education commercialization is analyzed critically, evidencing threats that represent to deep into higher education entailment with free market. The concepts of symbolic capital, habitus and human skills, are the background to comprehend this problem.
