Temas Controversiales en el TDAH
Resumen
Las personas vinculadas con la atención del “niño hiperactivo” (padres, educadores, clínicos y sistemas de salud), se plantean diferentes orientaciones en relación al Trastorno por Déficit de Atención (TDAH). Convirtiéndose en temas controversiales la existencia o no del trastorno: ¿El TDAH es un trastorno mental o un constructo social?, pero ante la realidad que de una u otra forma existe, ¿Cuál debería ser el tipo de atención del niño en el sistema educativo?: ¿Adaptar el niño con TDAH a la escuela, o el sistema escolar a los niños con dificultades? Y, para finalizar, se discute el punto de mayor debate: ¿Medicación, Usar o no Usar?… he aquí la cuestión.
