Abstract

The benefits of education in emerging economies, especially in Colombian social and economical context become a challenge for higher education institutions, especially for Nueva Granada Military University. Consequently, this volume presents in the first place five papers addressing Colombian education from different viewpoints. The first paper describes the regulations for the promotion of a teacher’s research culture, with basis on national and international legislation, with the aim of contributing to the development of the nation with basis on education quality. The second paper is aimed at promoting the growth of education and social sectors. The subject is tackled through a comparison between Colombian and Anglo-American medical education, by analyzing the advantages and disadvantages in the sector labor field, which allows to identify solution alternatives to some acknowledged problems of national medical education.
